Warning: If you build this programmer using an atmega88/168 then do not load the test software. Load directly the final firmware. The uisp programmer software, which is used only during initial load, can for unknown reasons not erase the test software. This problem does not exist if you use an atmega8 chip to build the avrusb500v2 programmer. We recommend to use the atmega8 chip to build this hardware.
